It aims to restore a single dental element damaged by cavity or trauma through fillings, reconstructions or inlays. In order to perform a small-medium size restoration on a tooth it is recommended to use “composite” compound, a very aesthetic material that is capable of adhering to the tooth, forming a cohesive body and allowing to sacrifice the least possible amount of healthy tissue. If the amount of tooth substance to be restored is significant, an inlay (made with aesthetic material) may be indicated, and a restoration carried out in the laboratory by the dental technician:it will then be cemented into the mouth by the dentist.
